Protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation
Virema has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to every person, profile, message, image, video, audio file and other interaction on the Virema service.
Virema is an adults-only service. Users must be at least 18 years old. Creating an account for a minor or misrepresenting a minor's age is prohibited.
Prohibited conduct and content
Virema prohibits, without exception:
- creating, uploading, requesting, storing, sharing or distributing CSAM;
- grooming, sextortion, sexual solicitation or trafficking of a child;
- sexualising a child or encouraging any sexual interaction involving a child;
- using Virema to arrange, promote or facilitate the abuse or exploitation of a child;
- attempting to evade age, reporting, moderation or account-safety controls.
How users can report concerns
Users can report a chat or message from the safety menu inside the Virema app. A report creates a moderation case and allows supporting evidence to be attached. Users may also contact support@virema.app. Do not email or forward suspected CSAM. Instead, identify the relevant Virema account, chat or message and explain where the material appeared.
How Virema responds
Virema reviews reports and takes appropriate action when it obtains actual knowledge of prohibited content or conduct. Depending on the circumstances, action may include restricting access, preserving limited evidence where legally permitted, removing content, suspending or permanently closing accounts, and preventing further contact.
Confirmed or apparent CSAM and child exploitation will be handled in accordance with applicable law, including reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or the relevant regional or national authority when required. Virema cooperates with lawful requests from competent authorities.
Immediate danger
If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement first. A report to Virema does not replace an emergency report to the competent authorities.

Google Play and competent authorities may contact Virema about CSAE or CSAM prevention, review and enforcement at support@virema.app.
